Sylvan Heights Bird Park

Located a little less than 2 hours away in Scotland Neck, North Carolina is the largest bird sanctuary in North Carolina. Sylvan Heights is known all over the world for breeding and protecting rare and endangered waterfowl. In addition to ducks, geese, and swans, the park is also home to flamingos, cranes, toucans, kookaburras and more, all housed in continentally-themed aviaries. Wear your walking shoes and plan to wander freely amongst the birds.
